David van Ooijen op (1939–2006), was a teacher before joining the Dutch Dominican province, later becoming a member of the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament for the Labour Party, and a member of the Board of the Dutch Open University. He was also provincial of the Dutch Dominicans and taught regularly at the Angelicum in Rome.
