Servais Théodore Pinkaers op, of the francophone General Vicariate of Belgium, has taught moral theology for many years in the University of Fribourg,
Switzerland. He has been a member of the International Theological Commission and made a notable contribution to the section on morals in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. He is the author of many works on fundamental morals, translated into many languages, including English.
